The Sales Manager oversees and monitors sales teams and ensures profitability by achieving agreed return on economic capital, non-interest revenue and new business targets. The incumbent leads a team and builds and maintains supportive relationships with customers. The incumbent develops and manages a sales team, procures new business and retains existing business to achieve set financial targets.

• Delivers on a financial target to increase profitable business by acquiring new business and increasing market share, value added products, conversion rate fixed and linked rates ratio.
• Provides creative financial solutions to meet customer needs and structure deals in terms of solutions required by customer.
• Ensures customer excellence through interaction with internal and external customers throughout all business activities
• Resolves customer dissatisfaction/complaints and takes ownership of the problem. Ensures that product knowledge and advice is technically accurate.
• Sets operational plans, identifies new customers and builds relationships Adheres to compliance and internal governance processes by ensuring that documentation being submitted complies with relevant legislative requirements and with organisational governance processes.
• Ensures continuous process improvement to enable effective operational processes and reviews and modifies tasks and responsibilities to achieve business process improvements.
• Implements innovative ideas to enhance sales and increase profit
• Implements performance management across the area of responsibility by providing direction, coaching, and regular feedback to employees to improve performance.

Experience

• 5 - 7 years sales experience, people management will be an advantage
• 5 years experience in a Financial Services industry

Qualifications:

• BA or BCom Business Management Degree
